Cockatiel Colors

Cockatiel chicks, from three weeks to four weeks old, a variety of colors. Heavy Pieds, Pearls, White Face Pearl, etc.... All beginning to feather nicely, it's always exciting to watch such a variety grow into the color mutation they will be, changing by the day.

Pied Cockatiels

Pied cockatiels have long been a favorite of mine. The main reason is because of there uniqueness. They are like a finger print there are no two exactly a like. Each one has a patch work type of coloration pattern that is unique to that bird. You will find some similar to each other, but never identical.

White Face Cockatiels

One of the most dramatic cockatiel color mutations ever developed was and still is the white face and now combinations of this mutations with others such as pied and or pearl and so on. It was first discovered in England and was then known as the Charcoal Cockatiel. Once the almost gray bird molted and the white on the face was discovered on the male of this mutation the bird was then renamed White Face as we know it today.
